Before I started taking Jiu Jitsu with Eduardo, I felt completely un-athletic. I was years out of high school and had never even active when I was required to do physical activity. But I gave Jiu Jitsu a shot, and it paid off! I feel fitter, stronger and there has been a noticeable improvement in my reflexes. Even though I was often the only female in a class with men much bigger and stronger than myself, Jiu Jitsu techniques gave me the leverage I needed to feel in control. I would recommend it to literally anyone who is willing to sweat and strain, but get there in the end.

I started training with Eduardo after I had just moved down to Florida and stopped training in another martial art (aikido) which I practiced for 15 years. I had previous exposure to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and really enjoyed it. I decided to look for a school and fortunately found the best one in the area!

The lack of ego and friendliness of everyone at the school convinced me Gracie Barra Clearwater was a great school. There weren’t any tough guys there looking to prove themselves, just people committed to learning a great martial art. There’s no question in my mind the level of training is at the highest caliber. I have been to other schools around the country and have found what we train at GBC is very advanced. My training partners are great. They are always pushing me to excel beyond my limits.

Martial arts allowed me to express myself in a creative and artistic way. It has always been the strongest passion in my life. Training in BJJ allows me to express that. Every time I train a part of me is at complete happiness. As far as my physical health, BJJ has helped improve my overall athletic conditioning. Eduardo has also taught me much about good nutrition and supplements. BJJ definitely has improved my self defense skills. I feel much safer training in the art. And I have a lot of fun and enjoy my many friends.

If you are looking for the best place to learn Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, come train with Eduardo. He gives his all to see that his students learn BJJ. It’s a lot of fun, very relaxed and family friendly.
